I have a belly ache :/ Ehhh I made graham cracker gingerbread houses with the kids...that really turned into gobs of icing and candy. LoL Makenna told Uncle Brian she made a gingerbread house & it gave her a belly ache. It doesn't help that when Tim was at the store, I asked him to get peanuts and raisins and pretzles for our houses...and he brought home all candy. Men I sware! Right now Makenna is insiting on having an 'egg hunt' by hiding pretzles all over the place. I know she's not going to remember where she hid them all...I'm going to end up finding them in the most random places.
Ehhh I'm feeling uber fat. I feel like I'm gaining so much weight back every day. I feel like now that it's getting cold outside, all I do is sit inside and eat. And I feel like I'm majorly gaining weight. I need to start exercising again. I was doing a really good job at it, and then I started slacking. I think tonight when the kids go to bed, I'm going to get out the wii fit. Tim's football game is getting ready to start, so we didn't have time to decorate the tree like I wanted to do. I guess that will have to wieght till tomorrow. I had sent Tim to the store to get me a new charger for the cam corder...because I want to start video taping more..but oddly enough, cord and best buy don't sell the charger i need for my camera...I'm thinking I'm going to have to order it off the website. But since we can't get a charger right away, I think I'm going to have tim buy me a new little camera tomorrow that does video too. I need one..I can't take my big camera everywhere. ** Side note, Makenna just told me she's having a 'boring night...just eating, nothing else.." ohh ths girl needs constant attention and projects to keep her busy. She's something else! But Timmy keeps teasing me about a D90...that's what he did when he bought me my D50...he teased me all the time about it, and then just came home with it one day. It was my mother's day/bday present. Maybe Santa will slip one under the tree for me??
Well Ken is really wanting my attention. Now shes bringing me books and being super hyper...lol time to calm this chicky down so I can start laxing myself
Okk so I took a break from the blogging & computer stuff...and worked on letters with Makenna. She's really shocking me at how well she's doing! Just Monday I really started working with her. Normally when I try to get her to do her letters, she just says, 'I can'' and she doesn't even try. Well when we were at Micheals the other day, I got them journals and sets of pens and markers...Mikhail's were Cars of course, & Ken picked out Tink. So Then I told them that thier journals are for them to practice their letters in...and they LOVE that! Ken is so proud of her writing...and she's trying more and more! Today Tim's friend came over [which they love his friends] & Ken got her journal out and was showing it off to his friend. I love to see how proud shes about her accomplishment. There are still letters that she just doesn't get. So we work on them...but I'm focusing more on the letters she can write. I think the more she becomes confident in that, she'll be more likely to tackle the harder letters with more confidence. She's still only 3...and I have to remind myself that her brain might not process the steps like a bigger kid. Mikhail does really great with his letters too. I can pretty much write a letter for him, and within five minutes he's got it down But tonight I didn't make him work on them. Tim had let him play video games...and that's something special for him that I normally don't let him do. So I was just letting him have a fun night of playing video games. When I told him it was time to turn them off..he through a bad fit. He cried, but I could tell they were just tears of exhaustion..so I let it go :)
Tomorrow we are going to the Dublin Rec center for a Mommy meet up! I'm excited, i'm just taking the tots...because it's during the time that Tim is still home, and he said he'd keep the babies for me. Plus I ordered a bunch of Christmas soy candles from one of the moms..and I can't wait to get them home and light them up! They were benifiting a charity...so it was double awesome! I love soy candles! Some day when I have some time and space to myself, I'd like to get into candle making.
Geeze...side note. I hate this wind...it keeps making the glass door creek...and I keep thinking someones trying to come in the house. I watch too much Criminal Minds and CSI shows...ughhh :/

Such smart kiddos. A lot of kids can't get all their letters until mid-Kindergarten. When I taught preschool I had a "word wall" where I wrote frequently used words on sentence strips, covered them with clear contact paper, and stuck them on the wall with velcro. I had things like the kids names, letters, words like "I love you" "mom" "dad" and so on. Then when they would ask me to help write them I would make them find it on the wall (by sounding out the word) and then copy the word off the strip. A lot of my kids went into Kindergarten being able to read those words, and write really well.
ReplyDeleteBtw, if you decide to do that and want to use velcro - cover the area of the wall with contact paper so you get your security deposit back (and it can be moved more easily)
